Necro Quest was made for the GMTK2023 Game Jam

Necro Quest is an action-rts game which places the player in the role of a Necromancer on a dangerous quest to revive her lover, no matter the cost.  It was inspired by games such as Pikmen, and Diablo, as well as The Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir.

The game interprets the Jam's theme of "roles reversed" in two ways.  Story wise, it places the player in the roll of someone who would normally be an antagonist.  In terms of gameplay, the player controls a large hoard of weak enemies, against single strong opponents, which is the opposite of many dungeon crawler games such as Diablo.
